Frequently Asked Questions

We know that entrusting your beloved pet to someone else is never easy. Take a look below at our selection of frequently asked questions and answers, and get in touch if we haven’t included the info you need.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR MY ANIMAL TO STAY HERE?

We require all pet guests to be healthy, free of illness, and socialized and non-aggressive or destructive.

The Arlington Pet Lodge requires all guests to be up to date with vaccinations, including the following:

1. DAPPC-L (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, Coronavirus, Leptovirus

2. Bordetella

3. Rabies.

Proof of Vaccinations are required prior to your furry friend staying with us. To ensure other guests do not sick, we have a strict vaccination policy that your pet must be up to date on the above listed vaccines

I CAN'T GET INTO THE VET TO GET MY FURRY BUDDY THEIR VACCINATIONS- CAN YOU MAKE AN EXCEPTION?

As much as we'd like to, we cannot make any exceptions to this rule. It's of note you can get several of the vaccines over the counter at stores such as Tractor Supply, Pet stores, or Co-ops.

Please see this site for additional details:

Please make sure to take a picture of the label with the lot number on it- we will accept this for proof of vaccination administration.

I HAVE A HIGH DRIVE, AGGRESSIVE AND/OR DESTRUCTIVE ANIMAL, CAN THEY STAY HERE?

While we have commercial grade equipment, we do not have the manpower and facilities to set your pet up for the best success at this time.

While your furry friend will be walked many times throughout the day, they will be in a kennel at all other times. We encourage owners with destructive animals,  animals that need hours of exercise per day, or animals that display aggressive behaviors towards other animals to seek out other boarding facilities that would better address their needs

DO YOU PROVIDE THE FOOD?

Animals have sensitive stomachs and it's best they stay on the diet they are used to. We require the owner to provide their own food to ensure their furry friends are not getting sick.

We have reserves of Kirkland Signature branded dog food (Made by Diamond Foods) in the case you extend your vacation or the food runs out

During intake, we will ask about any allergies and if providing basic dog treats would be okay for your buddies.

HOW CAN I CHECK ON MY PET DURING THEIR STAY?

Feel free to reach out to us to check in! We can snap some pictures and send it your way. We want you to enjoy your vacation and can be as active with updating you as you want. We also respect your privacy and understand if you just want to get away.

Ideally you'll be on a beach somewhere or some other awesome activity, but we totally understand wanting to check in on your furry friend to make sure they're having equally of a fun time.

WHAT IF MY PET HAS A SPECIAL DIET OR REQUIRES INSULIN OR OTHER MEDICATIONS?

Absolutely! During intake (and on the intake form), please let us know what special needs your furry friend requires. We will do our best to accommodate.

ARE THERE DISCOUNTS FOR MULTIPLE ANIMALS FROM THE SAME FAMILY?
